Heroic Online Courses seems to sell itself as a platform for people from all walks of life who want to create an online course.

Yes.
Pat Flynn is a well-known entrepreneur, podcaster, and online business coach. He has apparently earned over $3.5 million via affiliate marketing since starting in 2010.
Known for his transparency and honesty, he frequently shares his knowledge and resources with others who are looking to build their own online businesses.
Pat also has a successful podcast called the Smart Passive Income Podcast. Here, he shares his experiences and insights on online business and entrepreneurship. He has also written several books on similar topics.

Are Heroic Online Courses students getting results?
It’s hard to tell.
You’ll find lots of praise for Pat Flynn online, but I found few testimonials that speak to tangible results achieved from following his courses.
More specifically, I only found one testimonial on the sales page for Heroic Online Courses…
I would have expected to see more people praise any aspect of Heroic Online Courses, but instead found nothing 😕
This is actually a strange pattern I’ve noticed with Pat Flynn’s courses: for as popular as he is and as many students as he seems to have, there is a surprising lack of success stories.
How much does Heroic Online Courses cost?
Lifetime access to Heroic Online Courses will cost you $499.
You can also get access to this course and several others if you subscribe to the Smart Passive Income All-Access Pass for $179/quarter or $599/year.
Keep in mind that you’ll need some extra money for hosting for your course (Pat recommends Teachable and hosts his own courses there), as well as for various filming and audio recording equipment.
Within the course, Pat mentions numerous options suitable for different budgets, so you can still start off without breaking the bank.

My search for a discount or coupon code has come up empty.
Unfortunately, you’ll need to fork over the full price for access.
(Or join via the All-Access Pass, which can work out cheaper.)
Refund Policy
The sales page for Heroic Online Courses specifies a 15-day money-back guarantee. Although not listed on this specific sales page, this likely goes only for those who bought lifetime access to HOC.
As stated on the sales page…
All SPI courses are backed by the 15-day “Win with Flynn” guarantee. If you’re not 100% satisfied with your purchase, let us know in 15 days and you’ll get 100% of your payments back, no questions asked.
I prefer to see at least a 30-day guarantee for a course like this.
That said, I haven’t seen anyone reporting issues getting a refund on their purchase, so you can rest easy with this policy.
How is Heroic Online Courses structured?
Here’s what the training looks like once you log in and open one of the lessons…
The core training is broken up into 6 modules:
- Nail Your Niche
- Create an Extraordinary Course Outline
- Making Your Sales Page
- Build a Production and Launch Plan
- The Right Mindset Before You Step into the Arena
- How to Film and Create Your Course
With its 48 video lessons, it looks like Heroic Online Courses is one of the longer Pat Flynn courses. However, most of these are shorter than 10 minutes, so the training never feels like a drag.
The lessons are evenly spread out, with the final module being the longest. I found this satisfactory because it’s quite possibly the most important one.
IMO, Heroic Online Courses is suitable for anyone who wants to make an online course, whether or not they have a niche and an audience set up. The lessons are well done, and also have a healthy amount of screencasts and slides.
If you only buy Heroic Online Courses – as opposed to signing up via the All-Access Pass – you get access to its community, but there seems to be little activity there. When I checked it, the most recent post had been uploaded a few weeks prior.
However, subscribing to the All-Access Pass gives you access to the entire Smart Passive Income community. There are some active threads there, but not a lot about making and running online courses.

Some positive points for Heroic Online Courses…

- No hype or sleazy sales tactics
- The training is practical, step-by-step, and concise.
Red Flags 🚩
A few things to be wary of regarding Heroic Online Courses…
- Lack of significant success stories from students.
- Core training is rarely updated.
- No mention on sales page of expenses beyond the price of the training.
Other things you should know
- Even though you’re not getting lifetime access to the course with the All-Access Pass, I found it to be a much better investment than Heroic Online Courses. You’re basically getting access to all Pat’s courses at a price that feels more reasonable.
Should you join Heroic Online Courses?
No matter your niche and the size of your online audience, I’d recommend Heroic Online Courses if you’re looking to advance your business specifically by creating and launching your own course.
Given how the training seems to go over some marketing basics too, people new to online marketing may learn a lot in this regard.
If you’re a big fan of Pat Flynn and would love to learn from him in particular, consider signing up for his All-Access Pass so you get access to all his courses.
