Just a quick weekend update to tell you about a change I made to the site a few days back: I switched my mailing list over from Feedburner to Aweber (affiliate link). If you’re already an email subscriber, you may have noticed that the last DtR article to arrive in your inbox was formatted a bit differently.
Why the change?
Among other things, Aweber makes it easier to send out exclusive content just to my email subscribers. I’m planning to do that with my monthly traffic and finance reports, and I’m sure I’ll come up with a few other cool posts that will be kept off the regular blog. (For example, in the coming weeks I’ll be sending out a detailed report on how I put together A Course In Courage, and how the course has fared since launch.)
I’ve heard from all successful corners of the web that people who subscribe via email are generally the most committed of all visitors to your website — they’re more likely to leave comments, share your content, and follow your recommendations — so it’s wise to devote a little extra time and attention to them. That makes sense to me, so I’ll roll with it for now and see how it turns out.
I’ll reveal what impact this change has on the size of my mailing list in the next
traffic report. Which, of course, you’ll only be able to read if you sign up for the mailing list 😉

If you’re not already subscribed to the mailing list, you can jump on board now via that form at the top of the sidebar. There’s also one right below this post. Just type in your email address and hit the button. You’ll have to confirm your subscription by clicking a special link that’s immediately emailed to you, and after that you’re good to go.
As a bonus, once you click that opt-in link, you’ll get to watch a quick video from me that I think you’ll enjoy 😉
